Virgin Voyages’ fourth ship has finally launched, and she’s got some incredible new features and some important details for you to be aware of before you set sail.

First Look at Brilliant Lady

Virgin Voyages fans have been looking forward to Brilliant Lady’s big reveal for more than a year and a half. And she is finally here!

We received a special invitation to be among the first to try everything on this new ship. We’re sharing all the important details you need to know about Brilliant Lady.

Roundabout Redesign and Lounge Upgrades

First up, you’ll see big changes immediately when you board Brilliant Lady. The roundabout area, also known as the center atrium of the ship, has been completely redesigned to offer more comfortable places to lounge and enjoy the views from indoors. There’s all new furniture in place of the banquettes found on Scarlet Lady, Valiant Lady, and Resilient Lady. This update makes the space feel a lot warmer and more inviting. Virgin has also removed the iridescent dividers that separate the space. It’s now easier for Sailors to move throughout this area and catch the sights of new destinations that Brilliant Lady will be headed to, including New York, the California coastline, and Alaska.

The roundabout also features a reimagined Draught House bar. This area now offers a refreshed menu, which includes coffee drinks and cocktails. This update perfectly complements the new intention for this area, which is for Sailors to connect with each other and enjoy a peaceful moment to relax and recharge.

The area where the chart table is located on the other three ships is now more of a living room concept with plush window seats. There are even spots for Sailors who may be working remotely while onboard, too.

The area to the left of where you board the ship now features an updated version of the Chart Room. Sailors can come here for help with things like shore excursions or general questions.

The new Roundabout also offers a place for onboard events where the vinyl records are displayed on the other three ships. Brilliant Lady’s new itineraries visit places that can get pretty cold, so much of her event programming has been brought indoors.

Entertainment & Events

Brilliant Lady will feature a new version of Virgin Voyages’ iconic ship-wide party, Scarlet Night. This revamped event now caters to itineraries in cold-weather climates, so Sailors can still celebrate in their favorite pop of red but in a completely new way. Stay tuned for further details about this epic red party!

Brilliant Lady also features an almost totally new entertainment line-up with options like Up with a Twist. This is an elegant supper club concept featuring a French-inspired menu, couture fashion, and a modern take on some vintage classics. Click here to see the Up With a Twist menu.

Out of Time is a musical-comedy taking you through the eras to fix a broken time machine. This is one of our favorite new additions to the entertainment line-up, as it literally had us laughing, dancing, and singing along throughout the show.

Murder in the Manor is a 1980s murder-mystery meets modern-day escape room themed interactive experience.

Duets is a jazz-style singing show.

Disco Reimagined, which is a refresh of Virgin’s Studio 72 party, features flared pants and groovy acrobatics.

There’s also a very lively new club activation in the Manor called Electric, which is Virgin’s take on a glow party. Stick around for lots of fun sea creatures who make their way through the crowd.

And rounding out the main entertainment line-up, a celebration of Virgin Records’ biggest hits called Red Hot will be launching later in Brilliant Lady’s inaugural season.

New Slightly Smaller Sea Terrace Cabins

Another all-new addition to Brilliant Lady is the Slightly Smaller Sea Terrace. Virgin designed Brilliant Lady with a narrow body style so she can pass through the Panama Canal. This meant bringing the lifeboats in slightly and reducing the size of the terrace for this new cabin type. Although the Slightly Smaller Sea Terrace does not have the traditional Sea Terrace furniture on the balcony, it does feature two hammocks.

There are about 88 Slightly Smaller Sea Terrace cabins, and they can be found on decks 8, 9, 10, and 11, with most being on deck 8. Reimagined Athletic Club

The Athletic Club is sporting a completely redesigned look that is perfect for enjoying views and relaxing outdoors. The paneling along the back of the ship is now see-through, and the daybeds have been rotated, so you can take in all the sights. Can you imagine lying here and watching snow-capped mountains and glaciers go by? Perfect!

New Art Installations and Elevator Puzzles

We found lots of fun new art installations around the ship, including new puzzles by the elevators. Have you solved these puzzles on Scalet Lady, Valiant Lady, or Resilient Lady?

There’s also new art by the pool that looks like giant spray paint cans. This area is typically something whimsical and fun, so this new addition fits right in with the other Lady ships.

The art installation in the hallway between the Grounds Club coffee shop and the Social Club is storybook style with two cutouts, which open to reveal “Ahoy” and “Brilliant”.

This space is more subdued than what’s featured on Resilient Lady and Scarlet Lady but more enhanced than what’s currently on Valiant Lady.

Pool & Additional Shade

Virgin made the pool on Brilliant Lady slightly larger, like the one on Resilient Lady. They also updated the pool deck. It now has many sun lounges instead of the triangle benches found on other ships. Many of the additional lounge chairs are in the shade as well, so it’s great for Sailors who want to enjoy the pool without getting too much sun.

Updated Menus and New Restaurant

The Dock is one of my Sailors’ favorite places to stop by for a light bite and a beautiful place to relax. And now it’s even better on Brilliant Lady - The Dock has a new menu featuring some delicious selections.

Juice Sea, the space between The Dock and The Dock House will also offer an enhanced lineup of fresh-pressed juices.

The Sun Club Cafe also received a menu refresh with a new dip and a new tuna bowl.

Finally, the most-awaited update is Brilliant Lady's new restaurant. It is called Rojo by Razzle Dazzle. This restaurant has been fully redesigned, and it is a stunning change.

Virgin Voyages’ Razzle Dazzle concept started as a vegetarian-friendly restaurant with some “naughty” menu features for meat lovers. And now this concept is evolving to be something unique on each of Virgin’s four cruise ships.

This space on Scarlet Lady is a Chinese concept by night called Lucky Lotus. Valiant Lady will go through her dry dock in early 2026, so we’re eagerly awaiting details on what’s planned for this space.

And now, exclusive to Brilliant Lady, is the Spanish-inspired Rojo. This restaurant offers a Spanish-American fusion for brunch, bringing in elements of the Razzle Dazzle experience, as well as new dishes. And then for dinner, the menu is all new, featuring tapas, pintxos, large plates, and an array of special cocktails. Highlight dishes include croquettes with a roasted garlic aioli, a paella with roasted lobster, and the crispy churro with a bitter chocolate fondue for dessert.

Rojo also has a lounge that fits well with the theme. It matches the style of Spanish food, which is meant for sharing and enjoying conversation. This is a bespoke experience that’s more than just a new design and new menu items - it’s a totally fresh vibe with music to set the mood.
